If you’ve been keeping up with the latest season of Selling Sunset, you’ll have noticed a bit of a style switch-up.

Known for their glamorous cocktail dresses, high heels and NSFW outfits, the real estate queens have surprised us by embracing a more wearable trend: tailored co-ords.

Mary Bonnet, Bre Tiesi, and Chrishell Stause have all been spotted wearing the on-trend ensembles both on and off the show, from statement black two-pieces to crisp pinstripe numbers.

While it’s not all comfort (the Louboutins are still in full swing), this is a more relaxed (albeit still very glam) vibe that feels fresh and on-trend.

Since the reality series first aired in 2019, fans have loved to pore over the cast’s outfits as much as their real estate deals.

Even Princess Kate Middleton herself was spotted wearing a mint green blazer after Chelsea Lazkani wore it on the show.

And it’s not just the Selling Sunset ladies who are loving tailored co-ords. Bella Hadid has been seen rocking boxy two-pieces, often as oversized blazers and baggy trousers, while Zendaya is known for her fashion-forward co-ords.

Personal stylist Oriona Robb tells Metro.co.uk that the continued popularity of the co-ord is due to their ‘effortless yet polished look’.

‘Co-ords offer a coordinated ensemble in a single piece, making it a go-to choice for those who want a chic and put-together outfit without much effort,’ says Oriona.

‘In terms of the bright and bold colours often seen on Selling Sunset, it’s no surprise that such vibrant hues are making a statement this season. Colourful co-ords add a fun and playful element to any wardrobe, allowing individuals to showcase their unique sense of style and personality.’

As we head into autumn and winter, co-ords will still be a key purchase – but with an AW24 update.

‘Co-ords can be easily transitioned into the cooler months by opting for richer tones like deep burgundy, forest green, or classic navy,’ says Oriona. ‘Pairing a tailored co-ord set with a turtleneck or a long coat can elevate the look and make it suitable for various occasions, from work meetings to weekend brunches.

‘Whether it’s a monochromatic set for a sleek and modern vibe or a patterned co-ord for a bold statement, these versatile pieces can be dressed up or down effortlessly. They make a stylish impact with minimal fuss.’

How to get the look

With so many options, there’s a co-ord for every style. It’s worth remembering though that co-ords are usually sold as separate items, so make sure you do you maths before adding an entire co-ord to your basket.
